Bumped into this bloke in Bishopsgate the other day, almost opposite Liverpool Street station. He spoke in an accent I couldn’t place and told me he stands holding his sign for four or five hours each day. “I’m helping my wife,” he explained. I thought the cigarette was a nice touch.
