The city of Boulder’s Parks and Recreation Department has released its summer camp and recreation guides, and registration is now open for more than 70 summer day camps and 700 sports, fitness and recreation programs.

It’s a little past noon on a Monday, and the Twentieth Street Gym Recreation Center’s copper-plated doors already have welcomed in another long list of varied guests. It’s been this way for a while now, since July 23, 1908, to be exact.
