Staying fit while having fun is all part of the agenda. Fitness in the Falls is a women’s getaway weekend being held at the Sheraton Fallsview, Niagara Falls, April 30 to May 2.

A one-day workshop held at the Thorsby Recreation Complex Feb. 27 introduced girls between the ages of 8 and 18 to sport and recreation activities such as fitness skipping, broomball, yoga, pilates, hip hop and martial arts. The workshop had a focus on healthy living, body image and self-esteem.
